Winners of the 2002 BBC Young Folk Award, the Welsh/Irish
trio of Anna Esslemont (fiddle/vocals), Cormac Byrne
(percussion) and Ben Hellings (guitar) have a debut
album of strong identity. Elements of classical, Jewish
and African styles blend seamlessly with a vibrant
celtic heart and three varied vocal tracks. At present
their disparate influences appear to be pulling in
the same direction.
